Really? It’s been 2 weeks since my last post? I am so out of touch sometimes. I really wonder if I should even continue this blog. I go for long periods without posting anything and often I just don’t feel like doing it. It’s definitely not making me rich. I’ve never gotten a donation to the site and I only make like $100 per year otherwise on this thing. However, it seems that there are many people that enjoy reading what I type even though I’m so long in between posts at times.
First, let’s get y’all up to date on things that are currently happening.
There is a rumor going around that SM has changed their mind yet again and will not be putting up their mall where my house and the Mango Lounge now exist. That’s good because I really did not want to move. It’s also bad because if we did move, and got a decent price for the property, we would be able to build a better house knowing now all the things we know and want. It would also mean we could get a generator and a few other things. Oh well, I can handle what we have and don’t have for a bit longer. I just don’t want to get bought out when I don’t have a choice in the matter.
The Dallas Cowboys played more like the Dallas Cowgirls for most of their game against the LA Rams, so they are out of the playoffs. I guess most of y’all know that already though. The only fantasy football I won this year was a local team I started. Although he is a seasoned player, there were only 2 of us in the league. We had 2 teams each and my teams came in 1st and 2nd. We’ll try to get 1 or 2 more players (at least) next year. If not, I’ll adjust the setting a bit and we are thinking about getting 3 teams each.
I’ve started carrying my umbrella around whenever I go somewhere away from the house. There is so much sun here and I am trying to avoid the marks I get on my arms. If I could ever get any of the arm sleeves that will fit my big arms, then I’d use those instead. I like walking in the sun, but with it putting those marks on me, I can’t have that. By the time I get those arm sleeves (if I ever do), I might be so used to carry that umbrella, I’ll carry it anyway. You never know when it’s going to start raining around here anyway. So many quick showers.
And now a little information on my past internet problem. I’m going to start where I left off in my notes. I know it’s been 2 weeks so if you do not remember what happened last, you can CHECK HERE to re-read the last part of my post and get caught up again.
I didn’t even bother calling Globe again that day. I decide to wait until tomorrow. I need to get something done.

When I did call Globe the next day, this call was a little different, at first. I finally got someone that seemed to understand English better and knew what she was talking about. At least she knew what the word “temporary” meant. They have a temporary way to get my service back up. It’s a slower service, but it’s better than nothing. I can also just convert back to my original service plan when the problem is resolved. It cost less too (only P1299 per month). Supposedly they would be by TODAY before 3 pm to take care of that. She said that if they are not there, to call them back. That’s not a problem. I have no problem calling them back for a problem. I’m wondering why this solution wasn’t presented to me a week ago when they knew it would take a while to resolve the issue? Filipino people are very nice people, but customer service is not their forte.
Naturally, I had to call them back, which I did at 3:15 pm. The lady said she would contact the technician and he would call me right back. I waited an hour and called them back again. The lady I talked with this time didn’t even realize my internet was out. She thought I was calling in to report it down for the first time. After I explained it to her and she actually looked in the computer to find it, guess when she told me that someone would be out here? Yeah, that’s right. She told me it would be “tomorrow”. If I had an emoji that was pulling out hair, I’d insert it here.
I’ll try to post more often. I really should be. It’s not like I’ve got so many other things to do.
Salamat Y’all
