The starting date for the Filipino language class will start this Wednesday (the 22nd). I just now finished confirming the date a few minutes ago. We will have a class every Wednesday from 10-11:30 through the month of February. The instructor (Al) will be heading to the US in early March. Maybe when he returns (whenever that is) he will continue the classes.
The free demonstration for our Tai Chi classes will be on 21 Nov at 10:00. That means I will need to be at Mango on the 21st and 22nd at Mango @ 10:00 and then on the 23rd around noon (for Thanksgiving lunch).
Don’t you hate it when you have to go pee, but you just peed. No matter how many times you pee, you still need to pee. It doesn’t make sense. Then you finally figure it out. You’re dreaming. You need to physically get out of bed and go pee in the real world. Sounds like a poem in the making.
A friend of mine here is having financial problems. Actually, more than 1 friend is, but one in particular that I’m a bit worried about. I want to help but I’m not financial wizard. I know someone that could probably help, for free. Getting him and his wife to listen and do, might be a bit difficult to get accomplished. Although, if they are desperate enough, they should at least listen. I hope he contacts me back later tonight and I can do what I can to get the ball rolling for them. They will need more help than I can give, but I’ll get them started in the right direction.
It’s been raining pretty much all day because of the low pressure in the area. It’s not raining at the moment so maybe it is finished for a while. Maybe if it doesn’t rain tomorrow, they can finish repairing the staircase to Mango upstairs. I’m anxious to get started showing the movies up there.
Another friend, also in a bit if a financial situation, finally listened and solved the biggest money problem he had. For the smaller part of the problem (but more money), he has to wait until next week. Hopefully, there will be no problems in that taking care of itself with just 1 phone call. He’ll know before the end of November if all his financial problems are taken care of. As long as he doesn’t go overboard with spending, he (and his young son) will make it here just fine. He has other problems he let himself get into (because he didn’t have the money to take care of them) and those will have to be taken care of one way or another. He may not have much say on how those things can be taken care of.
When I’m sitting at the computer, falling asleep and I have a little dream. If I have to look down from a high place in that dream, I still get dizzy. Sometimes I fall in my sleep from a high place, but I wake up before I hit. I’ve heard that if you die in your dreams, you die for real. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but I think not. What I hate though is when I fall and end up either falling out of my chair, jerking my head so hard it hurts my neck or banging my head on my keyboard.
There must be something else to type about, but I’m just not thinking of it. I already snuck in 2 strange, but hopefully, interesting, paragraphs. I’m going to close this one because I think I want to write a poem about peeing.
So, do you like the posts centered like this one, left to right like I have been doing or you don’t really care? I kind of like it this way. If y’all don’t have a preference and I remember to do it, I think I will start centering them like this one.

Howdy y’all. It’s me, ninong7 aka UJ aka John. Just a short intro about myself. I am a Texan that has retired in the Philippines. I moved to the Philippines with my wife back in May 2010. I am retired from the US Air Force. The music I like is mostly Classic Country and Classic Rock. I guess you could say that I am “Classic”. I play dominoes when I can find someone that will play, I play chess, cribbage, spades, hearts, Empire Builder, Rail Baron, Acquire and a few other games. I like to write poems and stories (although pretty novice) and I love learning about history, just about any history. I’m at home on my computer a lot but if I could afford to, I’d be traveling and documenting my travels to post in my blog. I hope to get to know a lot of you through PeakD and Discord.
I preferred justified left (left to right), it’s the standard paragraph formatting for most publishing articles. However, regardless I enjoy your blog very much; because, as a Phil-Am I honestly feel it is very interesting to read blogs like yours from a non-Filipino perspective. It seems you are enjoying life in the Philippines. I’m encouraged.
Thank you for your opinion on the paragraph formatting. I just thought it looked better this way. It doesn’t have to always be. If others don’t like it, I’ll change it back. I’m glad you like my blog and find it interesting. I am enjoying my life here, but I do miss Texas, my parents, my siblings, my son and grandsons a lot. I’d like to go back for a visit and I’m hoping to be able to do that soon.
