I saw on Facebook that they will be building a lot of new condo’s in the Philippines. I looked at the places and noticed that they are building all around the island of Samar, but not on the island. Here are the locations they will be building soon: Pampanga, Cavite, Laguna, Camarines Sur, Iloilo, and Butuan. I sent them a message and told them that I know Samar is the red-headed step child of the Philippines but even we need some loving sometimes. I’m not sure if they got my analogy, but that’s what I said. I swear that if it wasn’t for Calbayog being the biggest city on the island, we’d never get anything around here. I mean, it’s not like I’m going to be moving into a condo, but it would be nice to have it for some others, including expats, that are looking. Just one tower is enough. I don’t want to get overwhelmed with them like they are in Makati, Quezon City and I’m sure a few other cities in Metro Manila.
Nening is out and about again. This time she is buying our medications. If you remember from the last post I was telling you I was out, well I’m typing this post up that same day and she is out there now getting them. I believe she had one other stop also. By the way, no word from the meat man yet either and it’s been 3 hours since I was at Mango waiting on him. Yeah, Nening is a hard worker and our household would be a mess without her. If she ever decides to leave we are going to have to hire 2 younger people to take her place. Trusting those younger people with our money might be a problem but it’s very possible, with the right hire, it won’t be a problem whatsoever.
Well, the meat man finally showed up. Around 8:45 pm my friend Merrick came by to ask me if I wanted to buy some meat. I walked over to Mango and bought 2 hams and 1 pastrami. I have not tried either yet but Merrick told me the pastrami was the best he has ever had. I’m looking forward to that. When I got home I put 1 ham and the pastrami in the freezer and the other ham in the refrigerator. That’s what I will be eating tomorrow. I’m not sure if the meat man (Tony) will be back this way again. I’ve been here 13 years and it’s the first time I’ve seen him. Maybe he will be making more stops here if he can sell enough. I know he sold at least 9 packages, plus 2 of the beer bread that he also makes. I believe he will be around until tomorrow evening so we’ll see if anyone else shows up to buy.
This morning is Sunday, 4 June. I’m up around 5:00 am. Coffee brewing and medication taken. I should be getting my coffee grounds delivered today. Maybe even the Redskin Spanish peanuts I finally found and ordered for my wife. For some reason they are hard to find but all the other peanuts are easy. I also ordered dill pickles but I canceled that because it was the wrong size. They misrepresented their product picture, but gave the right size in the description. I got over zealous and ordered them too fast. I canceled in time though. Maybe I don’t need them since they have the pickles at Metro now. Although the ones at Metro are not as good, they are pickles.
I’m getting ready to wrap all this up. I’m trying something new here. I don’t know if you can tell But at the beginning of this Sentence I started using the voice typing. It’s not very good. If you stop talking, it puts a period, even if you. not finished yet. Yeah, I don’t think I’ll be using this very often. I’d have to be feeling super lazy to continue that. Continue that. I said this. Not that. Why are you putting all those periods in there? I correct some of it, but you can see I didn’t correct all of it. OK, that’s enough of this BS. We would actually top BS. until they get a better system I’m not going to exist. I wonder what this button does I found the button that takes care of punctuation I turned it off now it doesn’t put punctuation at all That’s actually a little better I just had to punctuate myself oK the end of that experiment.
Wow! That was weird.
Since I don’t really want to post something “everyday”, I am scheduling this entry for 6 June. I suppose 3, maybe 4, entries per week should be enough to keep everyone interested. Hopefully they won’t all be as boring as this one was.
