Today, 20 June, we had the 3 walkers (Mark C, Bill R. and myself). Bill always takes a trike from his house to us and then walks back to his house with us. After he heads in, Mark and I continue. Today we went an extra block before making our turn towards the highway. It only ended up adding about 10 minutes to the walk (so 1 hour, 10 mins) but we plan to expand a block every week. Actually, our goal is to get to where we can walk for 2 hours total. One hour out and one hour back. I think we have a route for that. At least pretty dang close. I wish there was a track to walk on around here, but, as far as I know, there is not. We do okay, but sometimes walking on the highway is crowded. We do get to say “Good Morning” to a lot of people though, so that’s cool.
We talk a lot while walking and it makes the walks go fast. That’s why I need someone to walk with me, to keep me company and help motivate me. I needs lots of motivation, at least at this point of my life. Maybe after a while, when I get smaller, it will be easier and I will want to do it whether I have a partner or not.
Okay, enough procrastinating. The weigh-in this morning needed to be, at most 137.15 (down 1 kilo from last week). I was so nervous as I stepped on the scale. When the numbers on the scale come up, I don’t accept them right away. I always re-set the scale (digital), move the scale a little (different part of the floor) and try again. If they both come up the same, then I accept it. This morning the numbers on the scale were 136.2. Wow! I lost 1.95 kilos (approximately 4.3 pounds) this week. That’s a good week and almost double my goal. That’s 3.1 kilos (6.8 pounds) I’ve lost in these past 2 weeks. It’s actually been pretty easy. I still have a long ways to go, but it’s looking good so far.
Time for breakfast. I was thinking an omelet but now I’m not sure if I want to go through the trouble of making one. Maybe I’ll just go by The Islander Cafe and buy some sausage and coffee. I’ll bring it home and have that with some grits along with a liter of water. Sounds like a good plan to me.
This afternoon I get my beer at Mango also. I only drink beer on Saturday’s for now and only a 1 liter bottle. Of course, if I fail a weigh-in, I will not drink the beer.
The electric bill just got here. P4939.07 (almost $99). It’s summer time here and we have been running the air conditioner a lot recently so I’m glad to see the bill so low. If it was like that every month, I’d be happy.
Salamat Y’all
Congrats on the weight loss. you’re doing great. An inspiration to all s fatties out there 😉
I’m trying so hard this time. I might slip now and then, but I don’t slip much. As long as the numbers on the scale keep going down each week, that’s good enough for me though.
