I had something a little different happen today and I wanted to share it with you before I forgot about it.
This is the 2nd Sunday that Mango Lounge has been doing breakfast. I’m always trying to promote Mango anyway I can so they can get more business. I brought 3 others with me for breakfast today. My wife, Nening and her husband Titing. Judith and her daughter Grace were also supposed to show up, but they were waiting on a visitor and never showed. My wife hardly goes anywhere, but I got her to go today. She told Christian (owner of Mango) that she would be there every Sunday, but I seriously doubt that will happen. I may be the only one that goes every Sunday.
I’m still too lazy. My mind is always telling me to get out and exercise, but, right now, it seems it’s matter over mind instead of mind over matter. One of the problems is that I’d prefer to have a partner while exercising. That gets the competitive juices in me flowing and I don’t want to be considered the weak link, so I don’t make excuses for not showing. Of course, at first, I’ll be a little slower and not be able to do too much, but as long as I’m doing something, it’s good. I also know that after a while, you start enjoying the exercising and look forward to it, instead of dreading having to get up early to do it. Yeah, I’ve been to that point in my life also. When I was in the Aleutian Islands (Shemya) I spent most of my free time at the gym and I looked good while I was there. Maybe I should become a gym rat, but no need to concentrate too much on the muscles, just the weight losing part and a little bit of muscle building.
I keep typing something here and then going away for hours at a time. I’m going to write about one more subject and then save this post.
It looks like we will be extending next month instead of heading out and coming back in on balikbayan. That will put us on a tourist visa instead of balikbayan status, but we are in the process of trying to save money for a reunion down in Southern Leyte. It’s the one time in her life that my wife will be responsible for buying for the reunion. At least that’s what we are told, and we’ve been married for about 44 years, and this is the first time it has come up. I seriously doubt either of us will last another 44 years. It will be less expensive to get the extension versus our trip to Singapore because we will not have to get an ACR card this time around. My wife was not looking forward to the trip anyway. I really need to get her paperwork done so she can get dual citizenship. That why we would not have to worry about ever leaving again (if we don’t want to).
Okay. That’s it. I’m going to bed now. In the morning I will complete this entry and post it to the blog.
Salamat Y’all
Boy, you still have not gotten your 13A visa? It really isnt that hard.
I haven’t gotten my 13A, but I’m not eligible for a 13A. I could get a 13G though. Just as soon as I can get my wife to become a dual-citizen, then I would be eligible for the 13A. I could always get the SRRV too.
