I believe that is a record day. I either don’t have or don’t remember the stats from before, but I’m going to count this as the record for hits in a 24 hour period. I hope it’s not the record for long though. In fact I think that by this time next week, this record will have been beaten a couple of times. That’s how confident I’m feeling about the website recently.

There is a scheduled brown out tomorrow, but at this time, no one knows exactly when it will start or for how long. It looks like it’s going to be one of those all day ones though, so that sucks. I guess it wasn’t enough that I’ve been having all the Internet problems recently, I need to have a brown out too.
Okay this is the morning now. I’m taking notes only because there is a brown out, just as we expected. I first noticed no lights at 0616, but Lita said they had been out a few minutes already. I figured it started about 0600. It’s going to be a long hot day, but I should get a lot of notes for when the electric does come back on.

I’m sitting here at the picnic table, alone, where I can get a cool breeze now and then. We have 1 portable fan working, but I’m letting Lita use that while she is sleeping.
We have a new ashtray with a sign. I have very little idea what the sign says though. I figured out 1 word there and was told 3 others. Evidently if you just put ‘ashtray’ with an arrow, very few people would understand what that means. Here is a picture of the sign and the ashtray.

I took a few other pictures while I was at it. There’s not much else to do right now anyway. I will put all the ones I took today in this post and I’ll have to find a few more too, so it will be a decent amount of pictures.
I was wondering what y’all thought about the last post and the way I did that? You know the facts and the pictures from that, plus the “Interesting Facts”. Was that better than the different Philippine cities? Maybe I should alternate them all and get a variety of things out there? I’m going to use the fact thing to fill in for the lack of pictures in the post.

According to Quas, they will be starting a taxi service here, well they actually already have 2 taxis. I wonder how much it will be? I’m also wondering how taxis will survive here. There are many tricycles and multi-cabs around. I guess they have some type of plan for them and we will find out at a later time.
The 2 oldest Pascasio children, Crystal and Khan, are already being silly this morning. Lita was laying down resting and Khan asked her if she had a “low bat”. That’s the term they use here for a low battery on the cell phones. Crystal seems to have a malfunctioning tongue. It keeps moving in an out of her mouth.

I made breakfast for J and myself this morning. We had 2 eggs each and 2 grilled cheese sandwiches each. Lita already ate some bread dipped in her coffee, so she wasn’t hungry. She likes that for some reason and I noticed that others around here do the same thing.
If Barbie were life-size, her measurements would be 39-23-33. She would stand seven feet, two inches tall. Barbie’s full name is Barbara Millicent Roberts.

Ramil bought a couple of ducks, still alive, and he killed them just to eat. I’m glad he decided to murder them when I walked over to the other sari-sari store to get some tubig (water).
Precious is watching me write these notes. She seems very interested, oops, never mind, not interested anymore. A short attention span. So Precious is out front and so is Cathy and Casandra. Precious is using a hand fan to cool off Casandra. She does it for awhile then stops, but starts again when her arm is not tired anymore.

It’s 11:30 and still not electric. We are not expecting it for at least 6 1/2 more hours. Sooner would be nice though. They, Emei and Ramil, are already drinking Tanduay this morning. It’s Sunday and neither of them have to work, so I guess they are just unwinding.
I was holding the bottle for Casandra earlier, but my arm got tired after about 15 minutes, so I passed it off to Crystal. She held it for about 2 or 3 more minutes then just stopped. Casandra didn’t cry so I guess she had enough.
It looks like J has the honors of de-feathering those ducks that Ramil murdered.

I just want to get back in my room to lay down and turn on the portable fan. We need to buy some batteries for the other 2 portable fans. Both of them are smaller than the working one, but they are good enough.
It’s 1:42pm now. No electric. I’ve already taken a nap, Precious is taking one now, Lita is trying to sleep and Cathy is trying to put Casandra to sleep (not very successfully yet) so she can go to sleep.
J brought his ‘classmate’ by. Pretty nice looking classmate. They hang out together a lot, so most likely she is more than just a classmate.

Crystal came by to buy an ice candy a little while ago. She gave me the money and I gave her too much change back. I thought she gave me a P10, but it was only a P5. She looked at me and said, “That’s this”? I then looked at the coin she had given me and figured out it was only a P5. If you need reading glasses (raising my hand) and the coins are dirty, then it’s hard to tell the difference sometimes.
Cathy finally did get Casandra to sleep and she is going to try to sleep now, but with 2 other bata running around, it’s going to be difficult. They are running around yelling and Fay is helping them out.

Only 12 more days before we go to Tacloban. So far everything is still a big GO!
Ado just showed up. It’s Sunday and he only works a half day. It’s 2:00, so it was a little more than 1/2 this time. Cathy and his 2 babies are sleeping and he didn’t want to wake them.

J and his ‘classmate’ just left to go downtown. I’m not sure when he’ll be back, but it’s his day off, so it’s okay.
It’s 2:35pm now and still no electric. It’s so hot and so stupid that they have to turn the electric off for so long. If they know they need to turn it off during the week, why don’t they spread it out over the whole week, or at least 3 days?
Finally the lights came back on at 6:38pm. Let’s hope they stay on for awhile without incident.
Lita Swiss fried 8 chicken wings and we had that with some rice. I ate 4 of them, she had 2 and we saved the other 2 for J whenever he gets back. After eating I went to get a “Red Pepsi”.
